Family owned and operated, Virginia Yacht Brokers was founded by Chuck Grice in 1989. Located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway, just after mile marker 12, Virginia Yacht Brokers is situated directly on the I-95 of the Yachting and Trawler world. Whether you're moving north or south, you will pass within 15ft of our dock office located behind the flag pole at Atlantic Yacht Basin in beautiful Chesapeake, Virginia. Wave to us while you wait for the Great Bridge to open on the hour or as you speed through having just come through the lock. With over 30 years in business, it's safe to say we know what we're doing.

Our Team
Chuck Grice
President and Owner, grew up in Maryland, boating on the Chesapeake. His parents inspired his love of the water with his first boat at age five - an 8ft dinghy with a 3.5hp Johnson Sea Horse - and a full run of the 12 mile Magothy River. Chuck graduated from Villanova University with a B.S. in Marketing and started in the boating business in 1981. After being sales manager for a Viking Yacht dealer in Annapolis, MD and a Viking-Hatteras dealer in Hampton, VA he opened Virginia Yacht Brokers in 1989. For over 30 years he has concentrated on the most effective marketing of brokerage boats, representing both buyers and sellers with great success. His outstanding reputation for honesty and integrity in the industry is well-known - ask anyone on the water! Chuck lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Kelsey, and Golden Retriever, Emma Divine. Their daughter McKenzie attends PA school in North Carolina, and son Parker also works for Virginia Yacht Broker, which he joined in 2015. Kelsey Grice
Kelsey was born in Tokyo, went to elementary school in Djakarta, high school in Madrid, college in Virginia and traveled throughout the world in between. Her undergraduate degree is from Sweet Briar College, and attended graduate business school at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a strong marketing background developed from experience in the United States Senate and AT&T, and a love of art & design. Years of art classes make her staging and photography stand out, while her love of boats makes her videos spot on. You can see all of her videos on our YouTube page or vayacht.com. Parker Griffo
Parker grew up down the road in Virginia Beach, boating on the Chesapeake. His first boat, at age 9, was a 13' Boston Whaler with a 40hp Yamaha, boating out of Norfolk Yacht Club on the Elizabeth River. Parker graduated from High Point University in 2012 with a B.S. in Marketing, as well as the Chapman's School of Seamanship for Small Craft and Yacht Surveying in 2019. He is ABYC Standards certified, and a previous board member of the Virginia Marine Trades Association.
